How information is used when you browse, apply, or hire on Dhebe Jobs.
Last updated: 2 November 2026
Information you provide
Creating an account provides your name, email address, password, and account type. Your password is stored as a password hash. You may add contact details, location, skills, work experience, education, professional links, job preferences, and PDF resume versions.
We store account saves, saved searches, company follows, alert preferences, notifications, recommendation feedback, and application records. Applications can include a cover letter, your chosen resume attachment, screening answers, and the profile shared when you applied. Your external application tracker can contain private notes, resume-version references, next actions, reminders, and activity history.
Employers provide company information, job descriptions, screening questions, hiring updates, and private team notes. Company claims include a work email, website, and affiliation evidence for review. Team invitations record the invited email and role. A job report includes the job, the reason you select, details you add, and its review outcome. Featured-listing requests include the chosen job, requester, message, and review decision.
How we use this information
- Provide sign-in, account verification, password resets, and account controls.
- Save your profile, resume, shortlist, alerts, and application history.
- Submit your applications to the relevant employer and show hiring updates.
- Match newly added jobs to your alerts and deliver the notifications you select.
- Publish reviewed employer profiles and job posts, moderate reports, and protect the service from abuse.
Email verification, password reset messages, and email alerts depend on configured email delivery. In-app job alerts do not require email delivery.
Who can see profiles, resumes, and applications
Your profile and resume are not published in a public candidate directory. Applying directly on Dhebe Jobs requires confirmation to share the selected application information with the hiring company. The application stores a snapshot of that profile and your screening answers; later profile edits do not rewrite it.
The company owner can access the contact details and resume attached to a direct application. Authorized recruiters and reviewers in that company workspace can review the other shared application fields and private team notes. Their application view withholds the dedicated candidate email and phone fields, resume identifier, filename, and download link. Resume downloads require the resume owner's session or the company owner's access to a current, non-withdrawn application that references the file.
Withdrawing an application stops the employer's portal access to its resume attachment. An employer may already have downloaded a copy or retained application information for its hiring process. The candidate can see application status updates and messages; private recruiter notes are not included in that candidate view.
Your external application tracker, notes, next actions, and recorded resume versions are private to your account. Tracking an external application does not submit it or send those records to an employer. Following an external application link takes you to another website, which handles information you provide under its own policies.
Approved company profiles and employer job posts are public. An approved company claim links a reviewed representative to the company profile; it does not certify every job or hiring outcome. Do not put private applicant information or credentials in public company or job content. Claim evidence, team invitations, and job reports are restricted to the relevant account, workspace, or administrators.
Job recommendations and listing details
Personal recommendations compare your saved profile and career preferences with explicit information in current listings. The portal uses its own rules to explain skill mentions, experience, working arrangements, location, and stated compensation. This recommendation feature does not send your profile or resume to an external AI service.
Recommendations are not an ATS score, a hiring prediction, an assessment result, or confirmation of work eligibility. Missing profile information is not proof that you lack a skill. We store the suggestions you hide and the reason you select so you can hide, undo, or restore them. Pausing your search status also pauses personal recommendations.
Optional employer discovery
Employer discovery is off by default and separate from other profile visibility settings. If you explicitly enable it, reviewed employer workspaces can discover your name, headline, location, skills, and years of experience. Discovery does not expose your email, phone number, resume, or private application history.
Your email must be verified, and your search status must not be paused. You can disable discovery at any time. Authorized recruiters can send a limited, in-app invitation to review an approved company job. An invitation is not an application or a job offer, and it does not automatically share a resume or contact details. Previously delivered notifications and applications you already submitted remain in their respective records.
Saved searches, follows, and reminders
We store the search filters and companies you choose to follow, together with your alert frequency and delivery channel. Pausing your search status stops job-alert processing, personal recommendations, and employer discovery. Application reminders have separate completion and email-reminder controls.
Your open account checks for due application reminders. An administrator can also run a reminder check. There is currently no unattended reminder scheduler, so we do not promise an account notification or email while you are away from the site. Reminder email additionally requires your opt-in, a verified email address, and working email delivery.
You can download a calendar event for a saved application reminder and add it to your own calendar. The file includes the next action, job, company, and reminder time, including for a retained application whose job has closed. Your calendar handles its notifications under its own settings and policies. Downloading the file does not create an ongoing calendar subscription.
Usage counts and featured listings
We collect limited first-party counts of job views, searches, searches with no results, and clicks to external application pages. Counts can be grouped by day, job, company, and predefined market, work-arrangement, or job-category values. These usage metrics do not store raw search text, profile content, email, phone, resume data, or a persistent visitor identifier.
Each measurement uses a fresh random event identifier to avoid duplicate counting. Duplicate-event receipts have a 48-hour expiry and are cleaned during later measurement requests. Separate hashed network counters help prevent abuse. We skip this optional usage measurement when the browser supplies a supported Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
Activity counts are not unique-person counts. An external application click does not confirm an application or hire. Account saves and direct application submissions are counted separately from their current portal records. Administrators can see aggregate service counts, and authorized company workspaces can see their company activity.
Current launch-pilot featured-listing requests are free and require administrator approval. Approved placements are labelled and time-limited while the job remains open. Featured placement does not change your personal job-fit explanation or require sharing additional candidate information.
Google sign-in
If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides an account identifier, name, email address, and verification details. We use the identifier to recognize your linked account and keep your existing portal role and profile. We do not request access to Gmail, Drive, contacts, or your Google password.
We store the linked account identifier and short-lived security data needed to complete sign-in. Google access and refresh tokens are not retained. Linking an existing email account requires its current password and the same email address. Google-only accounts can set a portal password through password recovery before using password-protected account controls.
Cookies and browser storage
We use a sign-in cookie to keep your session active for up to 30 days. Signing out ends the current session. Administrative access uses a separate protected session. Essential security and hosting systems may process technical request information to operate and protect the service.
Guests can keep a separate shortlist in their browser’s local storage. It remains separate from account saves when someone signs in. Clearing browser storage removes that device shortlist. Account deletion does not automatically clear a separate guest shortlist stored in your browser.
We do not use third-party advertising trackers or build a cross-site advertising profile. Limited first-party usage counts are described above.
Practice and reference guidance
Practice drafts and review progress stay in this browser, with separate guest and signed-in workspaces. The practice studio can clear the current workspace. Signing in does not automatically transfer guest drafts. You can explicitly import guest drafts into empty slots in the current signed-in workspace, without replacing existing drafts. Account deletion does not automatically clear browser storage. Clearing browser storage removes all practice workspaces on that browser.
When you request a hint or next step, the selected practice exercise and your response are sent to our server-hosted guidance service. Sign-in, a verified email and confirmation to share the response are required. Remove personal information, credentials and confidential code before sending. AI may select relevant reference criteria, while displayed guidance comes from the exercise material. Practice responses are not hiring assessment records and are not automatically used for model training.
The practice service does not keep a server-side history of your responses or guidance text. Limited hashed account and network counters protect against abuse. They expire for access control and are removed during later practice requests; account-specific counters are removed after account deletion. Reference guidance is not a hiring grade or proof that code ran.
Storage, service providers, and security
The portal uses hosting, database, file storage, and email transport services to process and deliver its features. These systems process information needed to operate the website, store private files, and deliver requested emails.
Access controls restrict account operations and resume downloads. No internet service can promise absolute security. Use a unique password and avoid adding unnecessary sensitive information to your resume, profile, reports, or application notes.
Your controls and deletion
In your account, you can edit your profile and career preferences, manage saved resume versions, saves, searches and company follows, review recommendation feedback, and manage your application tracker and reminders. You can disable employer discovery, choose notification channels, export account data, and withdraw a direct application. Withdrawing changes its status and resume access; it does not erase its history.
Deleting a resume removes that stored file from the portal. A newly uploaded or selected resume does not replace the attachment on an application already submitted. Older versions can be managed in your account. Contact us if you need help with application information or an information request.
Account deletion removes associated account information and private files from the active service. Deleting a company owner's account removes its managed company profile and direct job posts; deleting a team member's account removes that member's access. Independently sourced public listings follow their source lifecycle. Operational backups and limited security records may persist for a period; we do not promise an immediate purge from every infrastructure system. Employers may retain copies they previously downloaded.
