Must have skills : Embedded Applications Testing Good to have skills : NA Minimum 5 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary We are seeking a Test Engineer with a Functional Safety emphasis to execute and maintain bench-based validation test cases, with primary responsibility for FuSa test scenarios on dedicated HIL/lightweight HIL benches. The role executes fault-injection and safety-mechanism stimulus under the Domain SME's direction, while also carrying the core execution baseline shared across the Test Engineer team (all domains, smoke suite operation, defect logging). Roles & Responsibilities -Execute FuSa test scenarios on the HIL bench — fault injection and safety-mechanism stimulus — under the direction of the FuSa Domain SME. -Capture FuSa evidence (logs, screenshots, configuration records) to the standard required for ISO 26262 confirmation measures. -Execute pre-built CAPL/dSPACE FuSa test scripts and apply minor, SME-directed updates to scripts and test steps. -Execute manual and automated test cases across all four domains as needed per the sprint execution plan, and maintain test case/script updates against changing requirements. -Support bench setup, configuration, and readiness checks report bench uptime/availability issues. -Execute daily/CI-triggered smoke test suites and regression-triggered validation cycles. -Log defect findings with sufficient detail (steps, logs, severity indication) for downstream triage, and update requirements-to-test traceability links in TestRail/Jama under SME direction. -Contribute to daily execution status reporting and sprint review inputs update Jira tasks and flag blockers. Professional & Technical Skills -6 years of experience in automotive test execution/validation, with working knowledge of ISO 26262 and ASIL implications on test evidence and execution rigour. -Working knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet) and UDS diagnostics. -Experience with HIL platforms (dSPACE ControlDesk/AutomationDesk, NI VeriStand, Vector) and working knowledge of CAPL scripting to execute and lightly modify pre-built FuSa test scripts. -Familiarity with ASPICE test-execution expectations for safety-relevant software. -Distinct, hands-on toolchain fluency: TestRail (expert-level, for execution/result recording and defect linking), Jira (expert-level, for defect logging and sprint tasks), and Jama Connect (working-knowledge level, for traceability link maintenance). -Ability to read and interpret bench logs/traces to identify failures and anomalies. -Comfortable working in a 2-week Agile sprint cadence within a globally distributed team.
