Job description

Location: 100% Remote from India, min. 4h overlap with CET (e.g. 9:00–13:00 CET). Fluent English, spoken and written. German is not required. Compensation: 20k-32k USD per year (depending on location) + Shares + Generous Benefits. We pay local rates that are at or above the market. We share this philosophy with GitLab. About Secfix Secfix automates security compliance for SMBs and mid-market companies in Europe and gets them compliant with ISO 27001, GDPR, TISAX and SOC 2 in weeks instead of months. We’re a fast-growing team of 36 people, backed by a $12M Series A from Alstin Capital, Neosfer (Commerzbank) and Bayern Capital. About the Role You’ll be the first engineer dedicated to our go-to-market team. You build and own the backend systems our BDRs and AEs run on every day: data pipelines, integrations, internal services and AI agents. Today, everyone runs their own setup for data, outreach and communication. You’ll replace that with one central, reliable system that scales with us. This is a hands-on engineering role: you’ll write code (Python, SQL) every day, connect APIs and build data pipelines and AI workflows, not configure tools or run RevOps. You report to our Head of GTM, work closely with Sales and exchange with our Engineering team on architecture and best practices. We own products and outcomes, not Jira tickets. What You'll Do Data pipelines: Design and build pipelines that pull account and contact data from multiple sources and APIs, clean, deduplicate and score it, and sync it to our CRM as the single source of truth. Data layer: Design the data model and central database behind our GTM, connecting CRM, outreach and product data. Integrations & services: Integrate internal and third-party tools via REST APIs and webhooks, and build small internal services and tools where off-the-shelf tools fall short. Signals & automation: Build signal detection, lead scoring and routing, and alerts that tell the right rep which account to call today and why. AI agents: Build AI-powered tools and agents that take repetitive work off our AEs, from research to proposals to CRM updates. Reliability: Deploy, schedule, monitor and maintain everything you build: error handling, retries, rate limits, logging and alerts when something breaks. Ownership end-to-end: Investigate problems, find the root cause, ship the fix and document it so nothing depends on one person. Your success: reps spend less time on manual work and more time with customers, and more pipeline comes from systems that run reliably and are actually used. About You You’re a backend engineer who loves building things real people use every day, and curious about the business: why a customer buys, which signal means a company is ready. You build systems that run reliably at 10x volume, not one-off scripts. Recent graduate (0–2 years) in Computer Science or a related engineering field with a strong academic record. 1+ years of backend experience through your first full-time job or internships in a startup environment. Strong engineering fundamentals: solid Python (or another backend language), SQL and data modeling. Experience building and consuming REST APIs and working with webhooks. You know how to run code in production: Git, deployment, scheduling, testing, logging and debugging. You think in systems: you understand how components depend on each other and what breaks when you change one part. Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and LLM APIs (e.g. Claude Code or the Claude API). You’ve built and shipped real things (a feature, service, data pipeline or internal tool) and can show them. Smart, structured problem solver and fast learner: you pick up new tools on your own and bring complexity down. Independent, proactive and comfortable communicating remotely, especially in writing. Nice to have: Experience with a cloud platform (AWS or GCP), a data warehouse, a CRM and its API, or GTM tools like Clay. You should not apply if: You need detailed tickets telling you what to build. You only want to write code and don’t care about business impact. You don’t want to test, monitor and maintain what you ship. You’d rather be led than lead your own projects. You don’t want to work closely with Sales and the people who use your tools. Interview Process ~30 min – Introductory call with our Talent team Technical take home challenge (~8–10h, 7 days to submit) ~90 min – Interview incl. live coding with our Head of GTM Final interview with our co-founder and Head of GTM What we offer Remote Work: 100% remote work with a virtual office in Gather. Competitive Salary: Industry-competitive local salaries. We pay local rates that are at or above the market. We share this philosophy with GitLab. Equity: Generous equity package – we’re all owners of Secfix and beneficiaries of our collective success. Holidays: 26 days holiday + local public holidays. Health Insurance: Comprehensive health coverage. Development Budget: €1,000 annual personal development budget. Workspace Budget: Remote workspace budget and access to co-working spaces. Annual Retreat: Annual retreat to build connections and inspire ideas (this year we’re headed to Alicante, Spain!). Tech Equipment: Latest tech equipment (MacBook, monitors, headphones).
