Must have skills : Microsoft Azure Databricks, Microsoft Azure Data Services Good to have skills : NA Minimum 7.5 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary: As a Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves steering the technical vision and architectural framework for bespoke software projects. This role requires guiding teams through the entire lifecycle of design and implementation, ensuring that development practices meet high standards. The position demands a focus on delivering scalable and high-performing solutions that align closely with organizational goals, while fostering collaboration and innovation within the team environment. Roles & Responsibilities: - Own the end-to-end data pipeline and delivery of complex, business-critical, data-intensive platforms from initial concept and roadmap through implementation, production transition and ongoing improvement. - Define conceptual, logical and physical data models from business requirements, and establish reusable enterprise data standards and canonical models. - Develop data strategies covering governance, quality, lineage, cleansing, master and reference data, regulatory obligations, retention and interface contracts. - Design scalable solutions using microservices, APIs, messaging, modern user interfaces and fit-for-purpose database technologies. - Select persistence models across relational, document and analytical platforms based on workload, performance, consistency, recovery, security and governance needs. - Define technical roadmap for data processing pipeline, technology selection and engage engineering teams for adoption. - Lead architecture reviews, feasibility studies, impact assessments, proofs of concept, technology evaluations and build-versus-buy decisions. - Design for performance, concurrency, resilience, auditability, security, recoverability, operability and maintainability. - Engage with multidisciplinary engineering teams and to drive solution designs. - Establish coding standards, peer-review practices, unit-testing expectations, performance measurement and engineering quality controls. - Translate complex business requirements into implementable target and transition architectures, clearly communicating decisions and trade-offs to senior stakeholders. - Oversee integration with internal platforms, external marketplaces, third-party services and vendor products through governed APIs, events and interface contracts. - Mentor engineers, build technical capability and encourage evidence-led engineering innovation. - Remain hands-on with architecture prototypes, code, SQL, data modelling, performance analysis and complex technical problem-solving. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Azure Databricks, Microsoft Azure Data Services. - Must have extensive enterprise technology experience with significant responsibility as a data architect, solution architect, technology lead or delivery head. - Must have demonstrated ownership of design across a portfolio of applications rather than only a single system. - Must have experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams, while maintaining strong technical engagement. - Must have strong senior-stakeholder skills, including presenting architecture strategy, delivery choices, risks and investment options to business and technology leaders. - Must have experience on Data governance, ownership, quality controls, lineage and regulatory traceability. - Must have experience on Data cleansing, reconciliation, retention, archival and lifecycle design. - Must have experience on Data masking, obfuscation and protection of production data. - Must have experience on Architecture for batch, streaming, operational and analytical data workloads. - Must have experience on Data processing pipeline, ETL, ELT. - Must have experience on Advanced MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle and PostgreSQL knowledge. - Must have experience on Strong SQL, database programming (SP, Views, Functions, Triggers), schema design and execution-plan analysis. - Should have experience with document, analytical or alternative relational stores such as MongoDB, SQL Server, SQLite. - Should have experience on Database performance, concurrency, recovery, high-volume batch processing and data-warehouse design. - Good to have Hands-on experience on Java and/or Python engineering. - Good to have experience on REST APIs, microservices and Spring or comparable application frameworks. - Good to have awareness of modern front-end architecture, including ReactJS or comparable frameworks.
