Project Role : Database Administrator Project Role Description : Design, implement and maintain databases. Install database management systems (DMBS). Develop procedures for day-to-day maintenance and problem resolution. Must have skills : Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform Good to have skills : NA Minimum 2 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary: As a Database Administrator, your typical day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database systems to support organizational needs. You will be responsible for installing database management systems and ensuring their smooth operation. Your role includes developing and executing procedures for daily maintenance and addressing any issues that arise to maintain optimal database performance and reliability. Collaboration with various teams to understand database requirements and proactively managing database health will be key aspects of your daily activities. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Monitor database performance and implement changes to improve efficiency and reliability. - Ensure data security and integrity by implementing appropriate access controls and backup procedures. - Assist in the planning and execution of database upgrades and migrations. - Support junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on database best practices. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform. - Experience with database design, implementation, and maintenance. - Knowledge of database installation and configuration processes. - Ability to develop and document procedures for routine database maintenance and troubleshooting. - Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization techniques. - Understanding of data security principles and backup strategies.
